If you open up marts to the Public AFTER the action is over and charge them to go in to a room half full of empty tables you are wasting your time.

It will just make you look bad.

Needs to be all or nothing.

50% of Marts members only and 50% full public access might work if sellers play their part and stay the distance so the NAWCC will have something to promote.

Give table holders two hours than open up everything to the everyone. If the public wants those two set up hours to deal, then have them join the nawcc.

Coin dealers have done it for years and seems to work ok for them. I think it should be open to all. The down side is that we do not have a Publicity Director to promote to the outside world even though there are plenty of sources to be utilized in our area. Also, let's face it, the internet has made watch and clock pricing go to one level instead of having two: one for the members only and a second for the others. I think that is a stumbling block for some of the old corps. Give back to members during the rest of the year during One Day shows and whatever.

That is where I was coming from.
Some events for members only and open up the rest.

Imagine trying to run a preserved railway or what ever else you can think of where every open day is members only up to lunch time and then the public can come in but we put half the stuff away.

You wouldn't last 5 mins but all the ones I know of have special members only days where special things happen.

So, your proposing no time for members only?

Problem with that is certain sellers will stay the 2 hours and then bail.

The solution to that problem is to simply NOT SELL THEM a table the next year!
