Hi All -

Here is a very nice case that I bought a 16s model 1908 Wallie hunter in.

Needless to say, wrong case for the watch. But this case is much older with a patent date of 1884 stamped in it. It is a Fahy's.

Definitely NOT for a Wallie.

Can any of you help me identify the brand this case originally held?

It is notched for a lever set ON THE LEFT AT 11 OCLOCK.

The original case screw marks are at 1230 and just before 7.

here are 2 pics:

OK Jon and Marty -

3 more pictures!

The black marker spots are where I believe the 2 original case screws were.

This came from a seller in Canada.

Neil,
Sorry but your pic's will not enlarge?
This prevents really looking closely at the case. My guess is that it is a pendant set case and someone cut a notch to fit the Waltham in it.

The Waltham was pendant set also.

The pics dont enlarge because this site doesn't accept very large files now.
So I had to compress the photo file for web viewing. I got tired of cropping them to fit inside the parameters.

You can transfer pic's up to about 150 KB, yours are about 30 KB.

Neil: I'm thinking Omega or Regina which were 16S and widely used in Canadian market.

This is 1250 by 1250 picles by 72 picles per inch.
Bigger than the last one.

I think it is easier to work this way than by using file size.

You will get a better result scaling down than I have got scaling up from the smaller images.

Case was sold for $125 on the 'Bay.

Thanks to all who helped - unfortunately I think whoever bought it may be a GF scrapper.
