Ebay Australia is changing how WE get paid

It’s important you update your account details as soon as possible. eBay will require all sellers to register for the new payments experience in 2021. After 25 June your ability to relist or revise existing listings or create new listings will be disabled, and we may remove your Good 'Til Cancelled listings.

As you can see we don't get much choice.

What it means is that all payments for sales will go to your nominated bank account and not to paypal thus saving you some fees.

No sure why someone wouldn't want this.

Steve -

I've been using this new format since last September. I am quite happy with it. BUT, you do NOT save on the PayPal fees. Ebay has acquired that 3% for handling the payments system.

So, its still 13% total, but they care of taxes and payments from multiple sources.

You get at the end of every month a "financial statement". The only expense itemized are the shipping fees.

You were right.

new fees are -

13.4% of the amount paid by the buyer up to $4,000 (including postage and handling), calculated per item

2.5% of the amount over $4,000

Its the loading on the postage that really annoys me.

Postage is expensive enough already.
