A good friend in the gold and jewelry biz saved this beautiful case for me. It measures about 8-10 size. The only stamps on the inside of the case are a serial number on the inside of the cuvette and on the inside of the back, "Warranted-14k-US Assay" & Pat Nov. 18, 1881. It is a true box hinge and has white, green, pink and yellow gold with a beautiful lighthouse and ship scene. The lighthouse light is a diamond. It's nice to have friends in the gold biz.
I figured it would weigh 18-20 dwt and it weighs right at 30 stripped. Keller & Untermeyer made some nice and heavy cases.
