A while back, I bought three keywinds from the estate of a local collector/accumulator. All three were low-grade keywinds(two 7js and an 11j) and not in the best of shape(especially since the guy was a want-to-be watchmaker and had really buggered them up).

All three had unsigned, unsunk dials. One of these was an Export model Waltham '77 in a hallmarked English case with gold hands-I'm pretty sure this is correct based on what I've seen.

The other two, though, I'm wondering about. One was a Rockford, and the other an Illinois. The Database on the Illinois-if I read it right-says the dial could be either signed or unsigned, but should be single sunk in either case.

So, I'm wondering how correct these unsigned, unsunk Roman dials are. For reference, here are the serial numbers:

Illinois 955598
Rockford 59895

Thanks, Jon

The Illinois is an un-named 7 jewel.

What about the Rockford?

Thanks, Ben

Jon,

You're experience is as good as fact, so I'll assume that the Rockford is incorrect.

Thanks again,
Ben
