Can any of you Ball experts explain to me why this one just blew up??

I've never seen a Queen movt go for more than $350 let alone $510?!?

Yes that was surprising, 2 of my good customers went after it and it has been paid for. One other bidder at $500. That's the first one I have ever had in the hunter with B of Le dial. Geno

The serial # also did not start with a "B".

There were a lot of differences with this example.

I wish someone would speak up!

It had to be a special order for someones wife to match his Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and it went for $698, not $510.

Congrats Geno, it is nice to get a pleasant surprise instead of a disappointment.

I presume that it will end up as a wrist watch?

It's a hunter so a good candidate for it.

I agree and that is the clue to the high price, I think. I am not a wrist watch person (I don't own one and they are of no interest to me) but I am aware that they are very popular, these days.

I think you are wrong. Wristwatches are popular only among a very nerdy class of Luddites. They are old fashioned and difficult to maintain and their functionality as been replaced buy superior technology such as cell phones. BTW, what are pocket watches? Very Happy Rolling Eyes Neutral Mr. Green

Well...since there was melting/scrapping first...

You always advocated putting loose movements into glass-backs. Maybe this one will just go into a wrist glass-back.

I have had a lot of these 0 size movements in dual pendant/wristwatch cases that can be worn as both with a lug on one end that a wristband can be made to attach and then worn as a pendant, so lighten up, I am so tired of the SWITCHING BS that it is wearing very thin.....t Rolling Eyes Mad Shocked
